Great place if you want to try some local food! I had the grilled lamb chops, but the ricotta crostata with chocolate was the star of the night. I feel like the place is slightly understaffed, but the waiters are very warm and welcoming. The atmosphere is perfect: not too loud, nor too quiet.

Met Mauro, the owner, while out looking for a bite last night. He was just closing up, but upon hearing that we were from away, he invited us to a glass of Prosecco before he left. Hr told us a little bit about his restaurant, and we said we'd be back. Tonight, the 4 of us came back, sat on the patio and ate everything they offered us. Food and water came basically unbidden, and when the dust settled, we were happily stuffed full and out 135€. The highlight of the meal was the meat platter for 2. Seared, salty meat on the bone served sizzling on an iron platter with potato slices and watercress. Dessert was a hazelnut cream pie topped with vanilla gelato It was not too sweet and was a great way of finishing off the evening. I'm sure an adequate meal for 4 could have been had for less than 80€, but we overindulged and couldn't finish everything. It felt authentic and welcoming, and was a great experience. Thanks to Mauro and his staff!

Great little family restaurant. First night in Rome and wanted somewhere close to our hotel, but not the overpriced one inside the hotel, nor the one next to it. Taverna Sacchetti has very reasonable pricing for their food. The pasta is fresh. I would recommend this restaurant if your are looking for a good home cooked meal, away from home.

This is a wonderful little restaurant with very good prices . The food was absolutely delicious . Our waitress was such a sweet woman probably the owner . We were staying around d the corner at the Marriott short walk , we ate there 2 days of 3 we were there in town . We had the fettuccine cache el pepe (sp?) , caprese, sausage , desserts were fresh and delicious. Finished with lemoncella

Great location as it's quite close to our hotel. Servers were friendly and attentive and food was great! The fried lamb cutlets were soft and juicy. Too bad they didn't have the lamb entrails dish but everything we ordered was good as well. Delicious!

Great people and amazing food . 100% recommend to anyone loving for great fresh local food . The dessert was so amazing we finished it before taking a picture. Would eat here again !

The food here is amazing — the pasta was delicious, filling, and perfectly cooked. You can tell the chefs know their craft! By the way, I counted the calories using the service shown in the photo — super handy! For anyone watching their diet, it’s a great way to stay on track without any hassle.
